The Position
The Frozen Food Export Representative will be in charge of creating and developing a reliable and sustainable customers portfolio for the Company’s branded and private label products in the BENELUX.
The person should be hired ideally as a freelance/ independent sales agent.
Reporting Line
The future Frozen Food Export Representative will directly report to the Export Manager based in Romania.
The position is based in The Netherlands, ideally in the Randstad area.
Principal Responsibilities
- Monitoring the market and trade environment in the BENELUX and identifying opportunities to list and sell the company’s product portfolio
- Collaborating with the Export Manager to develop the commercial strategy for the BENELUX by defining the appropriate product portfolio and establishing the optimal route to market
- Recruiting and contracting customers (traders, wholesalers, distributors, retail and HoReCa chains/outlets etc) in alignment with the defined route to market strategy
- Agreeing on annual sales targets (volume and turnover) with the Export Manager and delivering committed results
- Working with colleagues from the plant in Romania to develop new products with high market potential in the BENELUX
- Monitoring the way the company’s products are retailed for the final consumer and providing feedback to the local customers responsible for importing them
- Managing product pricing and improving portfolio profitability within the BENELUX
- Developing and expanding a network of potential customers to ensure a sustainable and growing customer base for the future
- Acting like an ambassador of the Company’s products portfolio and promoting this portfolio in relation with the local trade stakeholders, retail & HORECA chains, food industry trade fairs, etc
- Reaching the KPI’s in relation to the number of customers recruited and contacted, the volume sold, and turnover realized

- Deep understanding of the food trade environment in the BENELUX
- Possession of an excellent network and exceptionally good relations in the BENELUX food market’s Retailers, Wholesalers, Traders and HORECA chains environment etc
- Able to understand trends and generate insights into the BENELUX food market
- Committed and motivated to increase performance and deliver promised results
- Excellent interpersonal and selling skills
- Good understanding of product profitability throughout the full supply chain
- Knows how to create sales leads and convert leads into business/ contracts
- Deep understanding of building and maintaining strong client relations
- Native level in Dutch
- English is desirable (but not mandatory)
